Book Year Review

It is a little bit weird, I give many stars to some books, but in the end of the year I have different favorites.

Favorite books

Bird Box, by Josh Malerman (review)

Just kids, by Patti Smith (review)

A Constellation of Vital Phenomena, by Anthony Marra (review)

The Dark Tower (Books 1 and 2), by Stephen King (review and review)

Secondary favorites

Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman (review)

Dune, by Frank Herbert (review)

HHhH, by Laurent Binet (review)

Honorable mentions:

It is extremely hard to choose my favorite books. Here are some more that I liked (and I stop, because I liked even more)

The Night Circus, by Erin Morgesten (review)

Burial Rites, by Hannah Kent (review)

Achillea’s fiance, by Alki Zei (review)

Girls, by Emma Cline (review)

I read 52 books for readathon16 (there were 12 more categories, but there was no time). My reviews for the last books is here and from there you can find links to all of them.

… and many more, hard to choose.

Favorite photos of the Instagram challenges:

I participated in the booktember, bookstober and bookxmas instagram challenges. I had to take one book-related photo following the rule of every day (for the months of September, October and December).

Did I achieve my 2016 book-ish resolutions?

You can find the post here. My resolutions were:

1. Finish the 2016 readathon. I said I will read 52 books, but I will try to finish all the categories (64 books) Finished 52 but not 64!

2. Read (for the first time):

3. Read:

4. Read some of my cognitive science books Nope!

5. Have lots of fun reading! Done!

That was it for 2016!

Readathon17 is already out with 80 categories!

Hopefully I will have time to write a post with my book-ish resolutions for next year.
